How has your involvement in the play strengthened your testimony of the prophet Joseph Smith?

My life and testimony have been forever changed by my involvement in this play. Up until about 4 years ago, I had been inactive most of my life. I never really had a testimony of Joseph Smith. Now, I have an unshakeable testimony that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God. I have this testimony because I feel like I personally know him now. I feel like I have actually bonded with him and the man he was. None of us in this play were professional actors and some, like my husband who played Joseph Smith, had never acted before. However, the spirit filled people with their character in such a way that they literally became the role they were portraying. We as actors were truly blessed to be in this play. We were blessed to be directed by someone who was so in tune with the spirit. Every single time she spoke, the spirit was undeniable. It uplifted and strengthened us as members of the church and as actors. We were also blessed to feel so close to these amazing men and women of God we were playing. But most of all, we were blessed to have the opportunity to feel as if the Prophet himself were with us on that stage.
